What to Expect
“What will happen on my first visit?”
This is a common question before you even step in our door. This is understandable, especially if you’ve never been to see a chiropractor before.
We take pride in our ability to get you out of pain and back to life as soon as possible. In order to make sure that we fully understand your situation, we will perform a consultation and examination before any treatment is rendered.
During the initial consultation, we will discuss the history of your health problem. We want to know how it started, what it feels like, what you’ve done about it so far, and what may have worked before… even if it was just temporarily.
If after hearing about your problem it seems that your condition may be helped by chiropractic, we will perform an examination. At this time, we evaluate your condition using range of motion tests, then chiropractic, orthopedic, and neurological examinations.
“Will I need x-rays?”
If after your consultation and examination we determine that x-rays of your spine are needed, we will perform an x-ray examination. X-rays are not needed for every person or every condition. The need for x-rays will be determined on a case-by-case basis and the reason for the tests will be explained to you before they are performed.
Whenever possible, we will choose to treat you on your first visit. The primary method of treatment is through a chiropractic adjustment. We also use other techniques that will allow for better range of motion and function and that will provide the pain relief that you are looking for.
